*REVIEW: I had a very good experience at Pen & Needles. I was there to get my first tattoo (at age 54) to honor my recently deceased girlfriend. My artist was Jeff and he did a fantastic job in creating my wolf tattoo I wanted. The artwork is great, the colors, and the EYES stand out so awesome. I've been told by a few people that my price was high and I wouldn't know beings it was my first time. But overall I was very satisfied and I appreciate Jeffs work a great deal. His attention to detail and professionalism were outstanding.

*REVIEW: I wasn't sure about going to a new artist but I thought I was give it a shot. I called Pens one day and asked about an artist that like to do skeleton and skull pieces specifically. Stephanie, who's a total sweetheart, suggested Marshall. I set up an appointment for only an hour but he was willing to finish. Marshall was awesome! He finished a complete skeletal piece in a little over three hours. With how complex the piece was I was sure I was going to be breaking the bank. Given the reasonable pricing I still left the shop satisfied and not burning a hole in my wallet. I REFUSE to go anywhere else but Pens and Needles. *REVIEW: I researched the web-sites of various C/S parlors and liked the work I saw on the Pens & Needles site; specifically the works of the artist know as Marshall. My next step was to find a design that had special significance to me to incorporate it into a cover-up of some very old, faded (picked-off-the-wall) stuff. I made an appointment with the artist (Marshall) and, with his experience in the matter, he helped me decide on an 8 inch or so Native American Feather. I came in the following weak and let Marshall do his magic. I really didn't know what it would look like but for some reason, I had total trust in Marshall's skill and knew he would turn those old tats into something nice. Well, in about an hour Marshall finished and told me to look in the mirror. What unbelievably fantastic work he did. His feather design completely hid the old tats without messing up the intricate detail of the new feather. The work is mostly black and gray but he added a little brown for depth and effect. I am so glad that I trusted Marshall enough to just let him do his thing. I am VERY happy with my new life-long, living art. Thanks Marshall and Pens & Needles Custom Tattoos!

*REVIEW: Being in the military i have been around to many places, I have to truthfully say pens&needles is by far the greatest tattoo shop I have ever been to. From the cleanliness of the shop, the open atmosphere, the extremely talented staff. I have had three pieces done in the past four months and couldnt be happier with the results. *REVIEW: I told my parents that I wanted a tattoo for my 16th birthday and they said yes, but only if they found a tattoo parlor that was clean, professional, and had great reviews. We paid a visit to Pens & Needles before getting the tattoo and we were sooo impressed by the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere. There wasn't any inappropriate language or pictures in the parlor; in fact, there were a couple of kids chilling in the lobby while their mom got a tattoo.
When I went in a week and a half ago to get my tattoo, I brought my parents and three friends, and they too felt comfortable being in the parlor. I had an appointment with a very professional artist named Shanna Keyes, and I highly recommend her. She was very nice and patient with me, and she wasn't bothered by the crowd of people I brought with me. Although it did hurt and it was a pretty detailed tattoo, Ms. Keyes did an amazing job and is a great tattoo artist! Thank you very, very much, Shanna!

*REVIEW: I came home on leave to visit family and friends. Being on an army post, the tattoo parlors are sketchy, dirty and out to steal money from troops in return for shoddy work. My friend introduced me to pens and needles. It was a refreshing, clean, friendly atmosphere filled with some intense artists. My tattoo artist was amazing and it felt like I had known him for years. The hygiene and professional prowess of the artists at this establishment was a refreshing change. I'd go as far to say that this, for tattoo and body enhancement lovers, is like a spa with a twist. Anyone looking for exceptional environment mixed with awe inducing artwork, look no further. Each artist provides a genre of work that matches any palette. If you have a challenge, these guys will most likely go above and beyond as they did with me. Stop in and check out their lounge as well, where they have books displaying some previous work, and you can chill watching tv or listening to music while waiting for your appointment.
